What changed

JR East has specified that Koumi Line trains between Koumi and Nobeyama will remain suspended through November 10 because of a rockfall. The railway is also operating reduced or partially canceled services on neighboring sections and has canceled HIGH RAIL sightseeing trains through November 9. JR East is not providing replacement buses for the suspended section.

Does this affect me?

Passengers using the Koumi Line across the Yatsugatake highlands, particularly travelers intending to pass between Koumi and Nobeyama. Sightseeing passengers and travelers connecting through nearby Koumi Line sections may also need to revise their journeys.

What should I do?

Do not plan through-train travel between Koumi and Nobeyama during the stated suspension period. Check individual train services, arrange alternative transport independently and confirm any reopening directly with JR East. November 10 is the currently stated end of the suspension period, not a guarantee of service resumption the following day.
