Ouigo calls off Spanish high-speed rail strikes on 6 and 9 November after agreement
Published:
What changed
Ouigo and train drivers' union SEMAF reached an agreement on 5 November 2026, canceling the Ouigo strike stoppages scheduled for 6 and 9 November and 4 and 8 December.
Does this affect me?
Passengers with Ouigo train bookings in Spain for 6 or 9 November, or 4 or 8 December, no longer face disruption from these particular canceled strike dates. The settlement does not remove unrelated rail restrictions or cancel the separate sector-wide strike call for 17 November.
What should I do?
Keep existing Ouigo reservations unless the operator has separately changed the booked service. Recheck your train's current operating status before departure. If you had arranged alternative travel because of the canceled strikes, review your options against the updated Ouigo service information.
