What changed

SEMAF confirmed that it has called train drivers at eight Spanish railway operators to strike on 17 November 2026, including drivers at Renfe, Iryo and Ouigo.

Does this affect me?

Passengers planning Renfe, Iryo or Ouigo journeys in Spain on 17 November may face strike-related service restrictions. The call also includes drivers at Transfesa, Continental Rail, Tracción Rail, Captrain and Medway. The extent of passenger disruption and any individual train cancellations have not yet been confirmed.

What should I do?

If traveling by train in Spain on 17 November, monitor announcements and confirmed service plans from the booked operator. Check the status of your specific train before departure and review alternative travel or ticket-change arrangements if services are subsequently canceled. The separate cancellation of Ouigo strikes on 6 and 9 November does not cancel this 17 November strike call.

Affected places

ES, Renfe passenger rail services, Iryo high-speed rail services, Ouigo high-speed rail services
