What changed
Hebei Meteorological Observatory issued an orange blizzard warning on November 6 for heavy to severe snowfall from November 7 daytime through November 8 daytime across much of the province north of Baoding and Langfang. Some areas of southern Zhangjiakou and Chengde and northern Tangshan and Qinhuangdao are forecast to receive particularly heavy snowfall, reaching 20–30 millimeters of precipitation equivalent in parts of the warned area.
Does this affect me?
Motorists, intercity road passengers and visitors traveling through northern Hebei, especially mountain districts and the named areas forecast to receive the heaviest snow. Snow accumulation and reduced visibility may create dangerous conditions on exposed or elevated roads.
What should I do?
Consider postponing nonessential road journeys in the most heavily warned districts on November 7–8. Check local meteorological warnings, highway restrictions and transport-operator updates before departure. Prepare for snow and icy roads; no specific highway or airport closure is established by this warning.
