On November 5, Ecuador's infrastructure ministry confirmed that the E35 Alausí–Chunchi highway at Zunag was partially reopened, with vehicle passage controlled at hourly intervals.

Drivers, bus passengers and freight operators traveling through the Zunag section of the E35 between Alausí and Chunchi must account for restricted access and traffic-control intervals. The affected highway section has not returned to unrestricted operation.
