What changed

The National Weather Service expanded its storm warning to Oregon coastal waters from Cape Falcon to Cape Foulweather, covering waters out to 60 nautical miles, from 10 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday PST.

Does this affect me?

Commercial mariners, recreational boaters and coastal vessel operators traveling within 60 nautical miles of this section of Oregon's coast. Forecast gusts up to 50 knots and seas reaching 21 feet create hazardous conditions that could damage or capsize vessels.

What should I do?

Recreational boaters should remain in port or seek shelter until conditions improve. Commercial operators should review the warning, reassess routes and departure schedules, and prepare vessels for severe conditions.
